The church: We are a body of believers whose soul intention is to glorify and serve the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the head of His church. For just a little under 2,000 years, God's children have been worshipping in accordance to the last will and testament of Jesus. At the Northside church we acknowledge that we are Christ's subjects and therefore must obey the precepts ordained by our King. We want nothing less than pure and undefiled religion to be practiced in all churches. We are dedicated to molding ourselves after the unadulterated pattern that we find in God's word.
The mission: Our desire is to reflect that of our God--that all be saved. Anyone who is willing to humble himself before the mighty hand of God can be saved. To obtain justification one must understand that Jesus is the only avenue through which salvation can be found. Jesus came to supply us with something that we could not earn on our own. He said that if we will trust in Him we can obtain eternal life (John 8:24). Believing in God necessitates that we recognize our wretchedness and turn from our sin (Acts 3:18,19; Luke 13:3). We must also be willing to confess Christ as the Son of God (Acts 8:37). Then we initiate our entrance into His kingdom through baptism (Romans 6:3,4; I Peter 3:21)
The family: Blessed with innumerable spiritual blessings, we are equally excited about the many practical gifts of a church. At the Northside church of Christ one can find a group of believers who stand with each other through the trails of life.
